The Cuplock ledger has a unique design that allows it to be easily connected to the vertical standards using a cup-shaped socket.
Ledgers can also be used as mid rail and top or hand guard rails

and "Blade" to lock the vertical and horizontal together by rotating the top cup.
On the standard each top cup has a limited position pin. This small part determines whether the ledger can be locked tightly. It must be at right place, not too up or too down.
